Business flourished and soon The Printing Connection, as it was known, had carved out a niche printing labels for United States wineries near and far. The pair sold the business in 1999. That's when Scott made the decision to invest his heart and soul in making wine. "The idea of making wine was something I'd had in the back of my mind for some time, but I was really helped along by a couple of really experienced winemakers who have been great mentors. • Just had a bottle of the 2012 Alatre red blend. WOW what a great bottle of wine. All of the big fat things we love. Really wish the bottle had been much bigger as it seemed it was gone too quickly.

There is a wild honey tone, some exotic wood components, potpourri, raspberry, and herbs de Provence. A spin in the glass brings out some rose wood, red licorice, and dark fruit and floral notes. This wine is definitely sweet, but i... Read More

  • Alapay Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Paso Robles 2003

Alapay Cellars is a hidden gem of a winery in the Central Coast of California in the town of Avila Beach. This Cabernet is elegant and silky. The tannins are softened to release the flavors of the fruit without overpowering the hint of pepper and spice. The winemaker, Scott, is fantastic and makes you feel right at home. He treats his customers ... Read More
