Touraine is located 200 kms to the south-west of Paris and extends from east to west for over 100 kms.
A number of rivers join the Loire along its route through Touraine, the Cher, the Indre, the Vienne, the Cisse and the Brenne.
The vineyards of Touraine are along the hillsides and terraces that border the rivers.
The climatic influence of the Atlantic Ocean penetrates far inland via the river valleys and plays a beneficial role, essential to the development of the grapes.
Not far from the confluence of the Loire and the Vienne, our vineyards are at the extreme west of Touraine, 20 minutes from Saumur and 40 minutes from Tours and Angers.
The microclimate produces a remarkable variety of wild flora and fauna. It supports a number of Mediterranean species (orchids, Holm Oak etc?) and in the summer you can hear the crickets singing.
