And I love you for that...This wine is crisp and tart with lots of acidity, but when you pair it with something fatty (for me, it's red meat with brown rice in a pesto sauce) you taste this richness and a caramel quality in the wine. Mind you I started with a spinach and sweet pea salad in a lemon vinagrette, which brought out the crispy and refreshing citrus qualities. I have to say thumbs up for versatility and deliciousness...This was a great way to end a work week.    (hide)

  Served this dessert wine after a Big Night style dinner gathering (timpano, salt dome fish, risottos, the works)... the bottle was gone in no time with rave reviews from the 20 people that were there.

  Brooding rich but with the unusually complex structure of a traditional Brunello, this wine has silky tannins and balsamic roasted fruit, give it 5 years until perfection!
