Description 1 of 1

The three estates cover a total of 600 hectares, with 170 planted to vineyard, 120 to olives, and the remainder to other agricultural crops, in particular artichokes and vegetables, which are distributed nationally and used in the food processing industry. They are: the Flaminio estate, in the Brindisi area, with 310 hectares, of which 110 are under vine; the Iore estate, in the area of San Pancrazio Salentino, with 40 hectares of vineyard; and Castelserranova, in the Carovigno area, with 312 hectares, of which 20 are being currently planted to vineyard. Agricole Vallone has two different winemaking facilities, each with the most advanced, up-to-date equipment. The Flaminio estate, near Brindisi, houses the cellar where all of the wines are actually made, while the Copertino cellar, in the province of Lecce, carries out the painstaking process of maturation, with wines ageing in stainless steel as well as in oak, both large oak botti and small French oak barrels, followed by bottling. The following wines are produced: "Vigna Flaminio" Rosso Brindisi DOC, "Vigna Flaminio" Rosato Brindisi DOC, "Vereto" Rosso Salice Salentino DOC, "Corte Valesio" Bianco Salento IGT, "Graticciaia" Rosso Salento IGT, and "Passo de Le Viscarde" Bianco Salento IGT. These wines enjoy good commercial distribution in Italy, as well as abroad, where a large part of the production is distributed. The major foreign markets are: Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Great Britain, Hong Kong, Ireland, Norway, New Zealand, Holland, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United States. – Description from mriskic
