  • Hey everyone, what are some of your favorite 'everyday' or M-F types of wines to accompany a regular dinner?  I personally have enjoyed the Montoya Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa, and I usually pick it up from Total Wines out here in Virginia.  This is one of those fruit-forward cabs that isn't too complex for me to appreciate, and it usually cost... Luscious red and black berry nose. Ripe fruit. Red and black bramble fruit, dark chocolate, some green herbs, and a slight hint of mint. On the palate, it's rich, ripe and fruit forward. Nicely balanced and easy drinking. Red and black berry fruit with hints of cocoa and vanilla bean. Some suggestion of white pepper and light herbs. Nice ea... Read More

  • Disapointed with my search results for Temecula. Most were from 2010...Anyway, we are going on a family vacation in the area and I need some assistance in choosing a few wineries to hit.  Most of my research so far has been the wineries' websites, which are obviously biased.  However, based on this I am thinking about Doffo, Wiens, and Wilson Cr... • Adobe Road Petite Sirah Bacigalupi Vineyard Russian River Valley 2006

    Snoothrank:

The nose greets with wet stone, then black plum and blueberry. This wine has big tannins and is super dry. Framed with pencil lead, it's loaded with blue and black fruits and some hints of pepper on the back palate. It lingers long and coats. After the finish, sweet blackberry lingers.- Tasted at Sonoma tasting room Feb 2011 Read More
