The Fisher family was introduced to the wine industry on arriving in Yamhill County in 1984. Dean as a steel fabricator did more and more jobs for wineries. He and his good friend Mike Etzel collaborated on a batch of wine which they made at the Ponzi winery. In 1990, Etzel helped Dean plant an acre and a half of pinot noir. The Fishers first four vintages, 1995 to 1998, were handcrafted at the Medici Winery. Mouse over the pictures of the ADEA winery to learn more about this talented family team. In 1998, the Fisher family changed the company name to ADEA ... a combination of the first letter of each family members name: Ann, Dean, Erica and Adam. The next three vintages, under the new ADEA label were produced at the Lemelson Winery from 1999 to 2001. Mouse over the pictures of Ann and Dean. – Description from Dragac

They have several vintages available. From 2004, 2006 and now the 08. The 06 has the most oak at 45% new wood, and the 2008 being the most Burgundian in style. I have tasted many Oregon Chardonnay's and this wine is absolutely one of my favorites! If you get the opportunity to try this, you should. Read More

One of the best pinot noir's I've had! My first experience with Dean-O's was the 2003 vintage! Beautiful and drinker friendly! Such a great expression of terrior! This is a must try! Grab some friends and a few good T-bones, this wine will make you happy! Read More

  • Adea Pinot Noir Willamette Valley Coleman's Vineyard 2001

Very disappointing. Well past its prime, there was almost no fruit or tannins left. All that remained was a slightly sour taste. Very hot, alcoholic nose, unpleasantly so. Bought this straight from the producer ($20), so storage should not have been an issue (one presumes). It's possible this bottle was a bad example, but another 2001 from same... Read More

  • Adea Pinot Noir Yamhill-Carlton 1999

This is an absolute gem of a wine. From a small producer in Oregon. Oregon is one of my favorite regions in the United States both for its complexity and diversity. (plus pricing is much more favorable) I had a 2002 at a wine tasting comparing it with two grand cru burgundies and enjoyed the hammacher more. Hammacher is produced in the ... Read More
