Adams County Winery, which first began operation in 1978, is a small farm winery located in Adams County, just eight miles west of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Nestled against the South Mountains, we have an ideal climate for growing grapes that, in turn, make our quality wines. Come visit us and enjoy free sampling in our tasting room. Take a tour of the winery, located in a 19th century Pennsylvania bank barn. Visit our gift shop, where you'll find our award-winning wines and wine-related products for sale. Your drive to Adams County Winery will wind you through apple, peach and pear orchards. Pack a lunch or purchase snack items in the gift shop, and enjoy a picnic away from the hustle and bustle, amid towering pines, vineyards and gardens. Can't get out of the country? Visit our Wine Shop at 25 Chambersburg Street (Route 30 West), in downtown Gettysburg. We are a husband and wife team who purchased Adams County Winery in the summer of 1998. Our goal is to help you enjoy the wine experience and provide Read more »

Yes, well I love it. I used to think you had to drink dry wine to be cool. Well as I got older and do not succumb to popular opinion I have found myself drinking and loving semi-sweet and sweet wine more and more. Why? Because it tastes good. I like to taste the grape and I like being able to swallow the wine without screwing up my face and... Read More

Awesome wine!!!! The best I've ever had. I'm not a wine critic. Who cares about that! To each their own! Try it if you like a sweet wine. I do. If you don't, then definitely stay away from this masterpiece and choose another more dry wine for boring taste buds. Just joking. The world is full of variety for a reason. Born in Virginia, there ... Read More

  • I'm vaugely thinking about a visit to the USA and Canada maybe early next year. I should note that it's still very, very much a vague plan, and nothing is set in stone -- but I do have to decide what I'd like to do first so I can see whether it's all actually workable. Naturally visiting a couple of wine regions in both countries will be part of... Read More
