Zinfandelic Zinfandel Amador County 2006
Just tried the Zinfandelic Old Vine Amador Zinfandel 2006. I found it as nice as the 2005 if not better. Full bodied. Flavors of black cherry and raspberry with hints of earth and spice. An elegant Zin that works well with food. Not a fruit/wood bomb.Add winemaker's notes
ZINFANDELIC is a tribute to the unique California wine varietal Zinfandel and to the California movement and culture of the 1960's. ZINFANDELIC explores the bold, spicy and rich characteristics of Zinfandel from sustainably grown California vineyards.

The 2006 Old Vine Zinfandel is big and bold, balanced with flavors of berries and spice. Delicious with rich foods. I enjoyed it with smoked Gouda and a tomato-based pasta dish.
