Mixing blackberry fruit tones with light sniffs of old leather and the tightness of youth, this wine still gets it spot on in its aromas and delivers well in the mouth. It is supple to start in palatefeel, then progress to a firm, tannin-supported spine that demands a fair bit of patience in order for the wine to come out of its rough stance. With depth to spare and focus that is true-to-type, this Zin can be put away with confidence.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Cellar for future drinking. Wine will improve with bottle aging.
