Although Mazzocco is a small family-owned winery, our vineyard sources are among the best in the world. Most of Mazzocco’s grapes come from owners Ken and Diane Wilson’s diverse Wilson Family Estate Vineyards in Sonoma County’s Dry Creek and Alexander Valleys. These valleys are renowned for producing superior quality fruit. Mazzocoo winery is nestled in the rolling hills of Sonoma County, perched on a saddle between the acclaimed valleys of Dry Creek and Alexander. In 2005, Mazzocco was brought into the Wilson family, who were eager to add the Zinfandel vines surrounding the winery. Renown for its single vineyard-designate Zinfandels—wines so robust and sumptuous, they’re unforgettable. Mazzocco Zins are remarkably individual in nature—a characteristic shared with their award-winning Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. “It’s the fruit,” confesses winemaker Antoine Favarro. Indeed, Mazzocco draws from some of the most breathtaking mountain vineyards in Sonoma County. It’s the fruit combined with history and tradition, seasoned with a little innovation, that makes Mazzocco one of the most distinctive and sought-after brands in California. Tasting Notes:

Bursting with the essence of Zin, the aromas draws you in like the Pied Piper’s flute. That first satisfying sip reminds you why there’s nothing like a great Zinfandel—concentrated, intense and delicious. With its brambly berries, dusting of black pepper, rich mocha and vanilla oak, and hints of coffee and tobacco, the palate is filled with 100% pure Zin goodness. The inviting silky-smooth entry showcases the harmonious balance of oak, tannin and fruit that broadens as the luxurious flavors linger on the palate. This wine makes you long for the finer things in life we all crave—like a roaring fire, best of friends, maybe a great cigar, and most certainly a glass of Kenneth Carl Zin.
