User Reviews for Zind-Humbrecht Pinot Gris Alsace Aoc Vendange Tardive Clos Jebsal

Winemaker's Notes:

"Bright yellow-gold. Soft citrus fruits, wild herbs and minerals on the nose. Dense, thick and spicy, but with a softer impression of acidity than the Vieilles Vignes VT giving this remarkably tactile wine a bit less delineation in the early going. But this extremely primary, lightly saline wine boasts a rising, almost biting finish thanks to a strong crushed-stone element. Strong stone fruit flavors emerged after four days in the recorked bottle without any loss of chewiness. Another remarkable pinot gris with a long future ahead of it...94+" IWC 12/12 "Open-knit and delicious, offering vivacious acidity that adds a lip-smacking quality to the flavors of peach puree, pink grapefruit zest, orange granita and pickled ginger. An aromatic base note of stony mineral pushes through and lingers on the zesty finish...93" WS 11/12
