popped and poured. great nose of tropical fruits and stony goodness. palate was initially very closed, with hints of pineapple and some cloves. got much better with some time in the glass- fantastic structure. delicious.

The Saarburger village wines exhibit an interesting, subtle "dusty" terroir character when young and they are superbly balanced. They have great aging potential and are a classic complement to seafoods - give it a try with trout or ceviche.
