Fairly new to taking wine seriously, but this is the first wine where I said Ah....and I wanted to sip all night.

Produced using the same methods as a Valpolicella ripasso, but with an international flair due to the small amounts of Cabernet and Merlot added. This wine reminds me of Christmastime, with its robust, plummy body and elements of anise and powdered sugar on the nose. Great depth of flavors, with a rich, velvety texture - just like lounging on a soft, plush carpet. At half the price of the best ripassos, you'd be nuts to pass this up. I loved, loved, loved this wine!

Aromas of raisin, with hints of sun-dried tomato and Indian spices, follow through to a silky, medium- to full-bodied palate, with very fine tannins and violet and chocolate notes coming through the finish. This offers a subtle framework, but it's densely packed. An interesting new winery to follow. Corvina, Corvinone, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink now.
