Zenato Corvina Blend Valpolicella Superiore Ripassa 2001
"Red Wine Italian Red by Zenato from Veneto, Italy. This is a dark, rich wine with deep, smokey, plum and chocolate fruit aromas. The wine is very rich in fruit and very long on the palate. One of the most exciting wines on the market. Recommended with hearty preparations. Excellent when paired... "
Classic Amarone with a smoother finish than others in a similar price range. Balanced concentrated dark berry tannins with a subtle but pleasing bitter note, and raisin background. Great with many sharp cheeses and white/red pasta sauces.

A brilliant red, the dark ruby/purple-colored 2001 Ripassa Valpolicella possesses a fragrant nose of red and black fruits intermixed with wood smoke and meaty aromas. While fleshy, rich, and medium to full-bodied, with loads of fruit, it is not heavy. Consume this beautiful 2001 over the next 2ndash;3 years.
Very well-crafted red. Pleasing crushed black fruit and chocolaty character. Medium-bodied, fresh and silky with a fruity finish. Delicious. Yummy red as always. Drink now through 2007.
Just a typical, modern Amarone. Harvested late and chock a block with ripe, fudgy notes over rich dried fruits. In the mouth there is undeniable power with good structure and some added spice from the oak ageing. Just a big, warm wine that is perfect for a cozy winter's eve.
