What to Expect

Few white wines have achieved the fame that Riesling has in Germany. Its ability to produce a wide range of styles, from bone dry to lusciously sweet, in an even wider range of climates has made it the grape of Germany. Riesling in Germany can range from the steely, piercing wines of the Saar to the round, opulent peachy wines one typically finds in the Nahe and the Pfaltz. This was crisp, clean and racy. Nice apple and slate in an uncomplicated way. Classic Middle Mosel Kabinett. Probably great by the glass in a restaurant (http://rockssandfruit.blogspot.com/2008/08/riesling-fest-at-grand-sichuan-pt-78967.html ).
