What to Expect

Syrah: One of the few grapes to really be a global success. Syrah combines a meaty core of ripe berry fruit with tones that range from herbal to peppery in a package that tends to be medium bodied with good acidity and softer tannins. With age the wines can gain lovely leathery and black olive notes that make them a great match for savory and gamy dishes.

Spicy fruit and oak tones intermingle. On the nose with same old coffee, violets, green peppercorn and herbaceous tones all framing the very fresh and high toned plum and wild berry fruit. Definitely get some funkiness on the nose. Big chewy medicinal spicy fruit. Dry and grainy. Dig it.

Bit of a funk on the nose. Palate with hints of meat and leather, some eucalyptus with the leather carrying through to the finish where it meets some earthiness and a medicinal quality.

A meaty Syrah with jammy fruit up front and a bit of spice on the backend.
