Showed its age in a good way. Blackberry, leather, cured meats, mocha and herbs. Solid tannins and smoky spice, oak and cedar. Midnight yummy.
Very nice fulll bodied wine with spice and berries. Good meaty wine.
Beefy, berry driven. Great wine for the price.
Delicious, fruity and rich. Good for couple of days upon opening.
Full-bodied and big syrah in typical Zaca Mesa fashion. Blueberry, blackberry, oak and herbs with slight stewed plum on the nose with berry, plum, peppery spice flavors finish with drying tannins
A very good syrah. it shows big red fruit with spices on the nose. flavors to match with leather finish. the finish is short and lacks the punch of the previous vintage.
Great wine for the price

This is Zaca Mesa's basic Syrah, and it's quite a good wine. Dry and rich in tannins, it's showing complex flavors of black currants, black pepper, violets and cedar, with a meaty, leathery edge. N
