Wine Spectator ReviewBeautiful apple, vanilla and honey aromas, with just the right amount of new wood. Full-bodied, medium sweet, with lots of pretty pineapple, honey and new wood. Long and refined. A beautifully silky and balanced Sauternes. Lots of intensity and well-knit. Nothing comes close in this vintage. Best after 2009.
The quality of the Yquem 2002 vis-à-vis the ensuing two vintages really surprised me: this is a superb Sauternes coming in with 125 gms/L residual.
