Yorkville Cellars Red Blend Yorkville Highlands Richard the Lion-Heart Rennie Vineyard 2009

Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:

Earthy and polleny on the nose with with lots of dusty, herbal aromas. This feels lovely in the mouth, light and supple with juicy acidity and a transparent feel, but it doesn't deliver much intensity. There's some faint raspberry and strawberry fruit with lightly minty and herbal flavors over a base of earthy flavors. The finish is fairly long, and carries on a lightly grassy, minty tone from the palate along with refreshing acidity and tannins. Pleasant but no more. 85pts

Mature oak aromas, with tree-sap vanilla, and black fruit. Cherries and blackberries come across on the body, which has a soft tannic mouthfeel and a smooth finish.
