Yellow Tail Merlot 2007
REGION South Eastern Australia. WINE [yellow tail] Merlot is made with grapes sourced from the highest quality vineyards. The grapes are fermented on skins in contact with oak. Temperatures are kept high to ensure maximum colour and tannin extraction. The wine is bottled on the estate. FLAVOUR [yellow tail] Merlot jumps from the glass with ripe plum aromas and a touch of that typical Aussie spice. Soft tannins complement the ripe fruit flavours and deliver a fine fruit-driven wine which is rich, soft and simply delicious. ENJOY [yellow tail] Merlot is created with a simple philosophy in mind, to make a great wine that everyone can enjoy, anytime, any place. Which is why we hate to tell you what to enjoy it with. If you really want some suggestions, this is a great Aussie red wine that can be enjoyed with antipasto, good times and great friends.
Very strong nose, but yet some what sweet and full bodied. Great paired with beef.
One of Homie's favorites!
Medium bodied, light finish. Tart and sweet with cherry and oak.
It's okay. Too bitter. Has a good scent though.
Sweet. Tastes a little like Christmas: cloves and nutmeg. Simple taste, but pleasant.
