Nice wine for the price but not our favorite Chardonnay.

2010 vintage. It may seem a little ridiculous to rate such a widely available and inexpensive wine, but I actually got it because I was reading about it in a Snooth article on wines you should know/recognize. The aroma is not the best, but its passable, and it is not loaded with sulfites. They don't skimp on flavor, with mango and coconut notes, and a pleasant sourness. There is a bit of sugary, bubble gum taste too. I can tell it is meant to be served cold, because as it warms the flavor grows more grassy and less enjoyable. It is not great, but it is certainly worth the price.

This wine shows ripe characters of peach and rockmelon, which are striking on the nose. This leads into a fresh and floral front palate where there is an up-front sweetness, adding to the wines` lengthy oak richness

Chardonnay has a distinctive nose that leaps from the glass and displays a lovely tropical fruit aroma. The wine is silky smooth and easy to drink, with a rich, creamy finish. - Winery

Rich tropical fruits with a creamy finish. This wine is soft yet fresh with balance acidity and lingering melon flavors on the finish.

"[ yellow tail ]® Tree-Free Chardonnay has a lighter

Straightforward and soft bodied, with lots of sweet yellow and tropical fruit; even oak and mallowy flavors tack a backseat to the bright fruit. Irsquo;m not saying itrsquo;s nuanced, but this is the easy, quaffable kind of wine that draws novices into enophilia in the first place.

There should be no complaints with this Chardonnay. Apple, pineapple, butter and toasted oak load the flavor package. The perfect balance and velvety mouthfeel provide a solid background. The producer recommends kangaroo tail soup with this one mdash; and why not? You get to go to Australia, and kangaroo is low in fat and cholesterol.
