Yellow Tail Chardonnay 2007
Quite flavorful, with nice grape aromas, and pretty tart. However, it doesn't linger and the impression doesn't really last...
Perhaps this will be the chardonay I like...
It is a very drinkable Chardonnay, with a very good value. The wine has a pale yellow color from the outside and has a fairly strong fruity and citrus smell. The mouthfeel is smooth, and medium to heavy body. Due to the existence of citrus and mango, the wine does have a reasonably higher than average acidity. It has a short finish, and appears to be a little watery. Nonetheless, this wine is very balanced with none of the fruit flavors standing out too much. Also the price of the wine is very reasonable, and should be recommended for any first time Chardonnay drinkers. If you are looking for a casual dining experience with close friends in house, this wine will make an excellent choice.
Hey, not a bad chardonnay. Especially for the price and availability.
External Reviews for Yellow Tail Chardonnay
The [yellow tail] Chardonnay is a blend of selected parcels of fruit from some of Australia's best Chardonnay growing areas. Using fruit from the Hunter Valley, Cowra and Riverina we have created a wine with incredible freshness and character. This wine exhibits citrus and honeydew flavors further complexed by creamy French oak aromas. The palate is soft yet fresh with balanced acidity and a soft creamy finish. This wine will develop well over the next few years.
