Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

This is quite simply the nicest Shiraz I have ever had. Deep purple, hints of dark cherry, blueberry and vanilla, silky smooth velvet finish and just the right amount of sweetness to go. An absolute pleasure drinking, just a shame I only have the 1 bottle.

Winemaker's Notes:

Berry Bros & Rudd review:
Underhill Shiraz differs markedly from the Dry Red No 2 Shiraz, in that the fruit comes from a single block, planted in 1974, and generally made up of heavier soils. This plot yields a fuller-bodied, more masculine style of wine, with distinctly chewier tannins and a savoury, dark fruit character. The wine needs a little more time for the different elements to combine and for the tannins to soften, but this is a very chunky, ripe style of Shiraz which needs substantial winter fare to partner.
(Alun Griffiths MW, BBR Wine Director)
