Yarden is a brand of Kosher wines produced in the Golan Heights region of Israel. Yarden is the flagship brand, named for the Jordan River and depicting the symbol of ancient Israel, a tiled oil lamp. Yarden also includes the Golan line of value-driven, every day economy wines as well as the Gamla line and the Galil Mountain Winery line. The latter is a joint venture of Golan Heights Winery and Kibbutz Yiron.

Yarden Syrah shows off a rich and complex array of characters including ripe cherries and wild berries, layered with notes of earth, chocolate and hints of anise. A background of attractive oak adds the wines full body and high concentration of flavor. Yarden Syrah will continue to improve with bottle age and should remain in good condition for up to a decade. We most enjoy Yarden Syrah with intensely flavored foods, such as roast goose or a rich lamb stew. We also like it along with a decadent dark chocolate cake.
