Yalumba Museum Reserve Muscat has one of the high ratings among the Yalumba wines from Australia. With a rating of 98 points from Wine Advocate, definitely marks a distinction. The tasting notes of this desert wine mentions "... classic muscat aromas of rose petal, ginger and orange peel."

Sweet bordering on syrupy but nicely held in check by sufficient acidity allowing the coffee sassafras vanilla and clotted cream flavors to glide effortlessly through the expressive finish. Drink now. Wine Spectator.

( 17; for 375 ml.) Orange-tinged brown. High-pitched cherry peach pit and dried rose aromas. Very thick but juicy in the mouth offering chewy flavors of toffeed apple fruitcake and maple. Thick and oily on the finish with a lingering maple syrup note. . (Negociants USA Napa CA) 91 points Stephen Tanzers IWC.

The non-vintage Museum Reserve Antique Tawny is a concoction of multiple grapes from a 16-year-old solera. It exhibits a medium amber color, fabulous ripeness, and a huge bouquet of honeyed fruits, prunes, plums, and a hint of figs.

Winemaker's Notes:

Made from the red and pink clones of the Muscat, a petite grains grape variety, this luscious dessert wine displays all the characteristics of this classic Australian wine style. Deep tawny red. Full, luscious middle. Richly flavoured, reminiscent of raisined fruits, nuts and spices. Sweet and soft yet unclaying finish. Incredible persistence of flavours.
