Yalumba Muscat Blend Rutherglen Old Sweet White Museum Release NV
Yalumba is a fabulous source of antique fortifieds that often sell for a song. The extraordinary non-vintage Museum Release Antique Tawny exhibits a medium amber color along with notes of prunes, sweet berries, raisins, spice, and jammy, overripe strawberries. Believed to be from a 20-year-old solera, it is delicious, but unlikely to improve. None of these Australian fortifieds improve in the bottle, but they rarely change and can be kept for a long time. Once opened, they should be consumed within 4-7 days.(Wine Advocate)

External Reviews for Yalumba Muscat Blend Rutherglen Old Sweet White Museum Release
The non-vintage Museum Reserve Antique Tawny is a concoction of multiple grapes from a 16-year-old solera. It exhibits a medium amber color, fabulous ripeness, and a huge bouquet of honeyed fruits, prunes, plums, and a hint of figs.
Sweet bordering on syrupy but nicely held in check by sufficient acidity allowing the coffee sassafras vanilla and clotted cream flavors to glide effortlessly through the expressive finish. Drink now. Wine Spectator.
( 17; for 375 ml.) Orange-tinged brown. High-pitched cherry peach pit and dried rose aromas. Very thick but juicy in the mouth offering chewy flavors of toffeed apple fruitcake and maple. Thick and oily on the finish with a lingering maple syrup note. . (Negociants USA Napa CA) 91 points Stephen Tanzers IWC.
