Yalumba Grenache Barossa Bush Vine 2011
RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.
Editorial Reviews for Yalumba Grenache Barossa Bush Vine
Strawberry tops, herbs, wild grasses and hints of white pepper and faded exotic spices. On the palate this shows good depth of fruit, dark raspberry and strawberry notes with a fine mineral vein that adds fine cut through the richness. This really exhibits fine balance, with solid supporting structure lurking just under the wonderfully transparent yet faceted fruit of the mid-palate. This is nice and tense right through juicy finish. Nice detail here, though this is showing a bit chunkier than the last time I enjoyed it. 88pts
Quite fruity on the nose with spicy herbal shadings to the core of raspberry and tart strawberry tops aromas all framed with a hint of toasty oak. In the mouth this has the intensity of Grenache which can be be powerful and rich but not weighty, in fact a bit hollow at times like a giant balloon of strawberry fruit which fills your mouth with good acidity and a faint suggestion of sweetness accentuating the fruit. The tannins are soft yet offer some support particularly on the moderately long juicy fruit finish. Fruity like it’s supposed to be. 87pts
jammy characteristics with a little pepper, spicy too
Sweet and fruity with some soft tannins. A nice red wine!
Four and a half glasses
Very good. Smooth, light with berry flavors.
Lovely 100% grenache! Especially for the price!! Great hints of cherry, raspberry, cranberry, and a little bark essence. On the palate the fruit speaks out. A winner in my book.

Light, bright violet. Fresh raspberry and flowers on the perfumed nose. Supple and open-knit, offering gently sweet red fruit flavors and a velvety texture. Finishes on a peppery note, with good cling and very soft tannins that come on late. Easygoing and ready to drink now.
A bright, vivid and open-textured red, this delivers a lively mouthful of guava, strawberry and spice flavors, lilting through the finish. Drink now.
Light, clear crimson. Yes, its in the Barossa Valley, not McLaren Vale style, but a particularly good example, with fresh red fruits and a vibrant finish, tannins present but no more, oak irrelevant.
