Viognier is one of the great grapes of France's Rhone Valley. It is an extremely aromatic variety redolent of ripe peaches and wild flowers. It is frequently used to add aromatic complexity to blended wines but on its own, delivers a rich, soft wine with high alcohol and deep flavors of honey, peach, apricot and tangerine.

The long, mild, ripening season has led to intense aromas and flavors in Yalumba Eden Valley Viognier 2005. It's a pale gold in color with green highlights. The nose displays aromas of apricot nectar, with lifted honeysuckleand orange oil perfume. A long, rich and luscious palate, with intense stone fruit flavors, particularly white peach and apricot, finishing with an aromatic citrus freshness.
