Yalumba has, for more than 150 years, been a vital part of the Barossa, making wines that reflect the best of the region. This wine is no exception. Made from 70-year-old Grenache bush vines, this is Barossa at its best. Good deep red. Peppery red fruits on the nose; very grenache but considerably fresher than the Tricentenary Vines bottling. Sappy, dense and fresh, with pure flavors of red berries and spices, complicated by earth, smoke and gamey nuances. Fat, sweet and smoky on the back end.
