After purchasing a 30-acre parcel of land just beyond the southern-eastern boundary of Angaston, Smith and his son began planting the first vines by moonlight. Samuel named his patch "Yalumba" – aboriginal for "all the land around". Six generations and more than 150 years later Yalumba, Australia's oldest family owned winery, has grown in size and stature, embodying all that has made the Australian wine success story the envy of winemakers the world over. Noble Pick Botrytis Viognier 2005 (0,375L) - Yalumba : Noble Pick Botrytis Viognier 2005 - Süßwein von Yalumba - 0,375 Liter HalbflascheGoldgelb schimmert er im Glas. Der Noble Pick Botrytis Viognier 2005 von Yalumba erfreut die Nase mit süßen Aromen, die an getrocknete Aprikosen, Honig und karamellisierte Früchte erinnern. Am Gaumen spürt man dann viel edle Süße. Die Aromen von Karamell, Aprikosen, Honig und einem Hauch Lavendel umspielen den Gaumen. Das lang anhaltende Finale wird von einer deutlichen Note Orangenmarmelade geprägt. Der mittelgewichtige Körper wirkt sehr cremig, was dem Wein einen etwas fülligeren Eindruck verleiht. Die gut integrierte Säure gibt dem Wein einen frischen Kick.
