This is the bottle that made me fall in love with wine. I've since also had a 2003 Yacochuya and it was wonderful as well. But the 2001, amazing.
Highly extracted fruit with a solid presence of oak - quite surprising given the vintage. A little more acidity would make this a marvelously balanced wine. Still a lot to like.
