Yacochuya Malbec Yacochuya 2000

Winemaker's Notes:

Alcohol: 16.0% Winery: San Pedro de Yacochuya was founded by Salta, Dany and Michel Rolland after they discovered Cafayate while assessing one of the most traditional winemaking families in Calchaqu?ɬ?es Valley. They were convinced that it was possible to elaborate fantastic wines in this impressing area in the middle of the Andes mountain area. Seduced by the antique vineyard with Malbec grapes at 2035 meters above sea level, they decided to create the San Pedro de Yacochuya together with their Argentine friends. Aging: 12 months in new French oak. Fermentation: Fermentation occurred in stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 28?Ǭ? to 30?Ǭ?C. Malolactic fermentation occurred in oak barrels. Tasting notes: Aromas: Red fruit aromas. Palate: Admirable complexity and richness and a great structure, presenting soft tannins. Food Pairing: A beautiful match for meat lasanga or rack of lamb.
