Nestled in the southeasy of Bordeaux, Château d’Yquem is the world’s most sought after dessert wine – the benchmark by which all other dessert wines are judged.
RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.
One of the all time greats, that everyone needs to try, expensive but worth every penny.

(Louis Vuitton Moet Henessey) est le proprio depuis quelques années... À déguster avec de foie gras façon torchon... MERVEILLEUX
Thick, syrupy, but not overly rich. Citrus zest, with a slightly vinegary finish.
The 1988 is a more backward-styled Yquem than the 1989, built along the lines of the extraordinary 1975. With a honeyed, smoky, orange/coconut/pineapple-scented nose, this powerful wine possesses full body, layers of highly concentrated, extracted flavors, considerable botrytis, and a sensational finish. Last tasted 12/97
The Colour was deep and gold with glimpse of shiny orange. The nose was floral and complex. Multiple aromas of butter, honey, nuts lifted by lemon zest. At first, the onctuous wine develop rich honey suckle and spice. Then the mid palate explode with powerful flavours of white flowers and creme brulee. The acidity is well integrated and balance perfectly with the sweetness. The length is divine and goes on and on... Very much in its youth, this example of Chateau d'Yquem prove to be near perfection and should evolve beautifully over the next 30 to 40 years. QC http://www.questionofwine.blogspot.com

What a fabulous wine. It's an explosion of fruit, yet it's very refined. I absolutely love the nose on this, with apricot tart, apple crumble, caramel and crème brûlée. Full-bodied, superripe and spicy, with mango, papaya, spices and sweet dried lemo... Wine Spectator. A Sauternes Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2009 Chateau d'Yquem 375ml
In 1593, the Sauvage family acquired Château d'Yquem, which came into the Lur Saluces family when Francoise Joséphine de Sauvage married Count Louis Amédée de Lur Saluces in 1785. Count Alexandre de Lur Saluces perpetuated his family's tradition as manager of Château d'Yquem for more than 35 years. His efforts were guided by a single philosophy: an uncompromising approach to the highest quality, vintage after vintage. Thanks to his determination, this great wine's reputation reached new heights. All famous wine lovers, from Jefferson to Tognini, by way of Grand Duke Constantine of Russia, confirmed Yquem's greatness as the years went on. In May 2004, L.V.M.H. / Louis Vuitton - Moët Hennessy, main shareholders of Château d'Yquem since 1999, asked Pierre Lurton to take over management of the estate. Member of a famous Bordeaux wine family, this passionate winemaker and viticulturalist, who is also in charge of Château Cheval Blanc in Saint-Emilion and Cheval des Andes in Argentina, has all the necessary qualities to maintain Yquem's legendary reputation with a respect for tradition and an openness to modernity.
