The most expensive offering is the 2005 Amicus Special Blend. It boasts a dense ruby/purple color, more structure and wood, but less charm and character than the Cabernet Sauvignon. Nevertheless, it is a very fine, medium to full-bodied wine revealing excellent ripeness as well as notes of graphite, smoky oak, and black fruits. Drink it over the next decade. The most obvious question with respect to X Winery and proprietor Reed Renaudin is how can these wines be this good at these prices?
