Editorial Reviews for Wyndham Estate Shiraz Bin 555
Tarry and gently spicy on the nose with mulberry and blackberry fruit framed by woodspice with a vanilla topnote. This enters the mouth with good acid-driven focus but it gains significant weight in the mouth, developing into a slightly rustic if rich mouthful of tannin-laced black cherry and blackberry fruit. There's a fair amount of oak spice here and a pretty peppery note on the mid-palate. The fruit fades rather quickly on the finish leaving rough, rustic tannins and some heat on the moderately long finish that does show some lingering red berry fruit on the finale. Plenty to like here for the price. 85pts
This was a refreshing surprise. I didn't believe the label when it said it would go well with game, but this was the ultimate thanksgiving wine. Welch's grape soda meets Sam Adams chocolate bock beer. I don't know how else to describe it. Convincing the rest of my dinner party that this would be perfect was the toughest part. Everything else was smooth sailing.
Bought a dozen of these 16 years ago- now have 2 left. They have aged well, now full bodied, still tasting richly withou tanning-wish i'd had some more ! Later vintages are also very tasty. It is a reliable wine.

Perfect barely chilled with a very meaty spaghetti. Loved this!
This has always been a favorite. I even have some bottles of 97 and 98 that keep getting better and better. The best value I have found in a classic, Hunter River Valley Shiraz. Only one problem. I am used to it being my favorite botlle under ten bucks. The listing price on this page states $12. Not good.

Medium crimson red with purple hues. Rich berry fruit with lifted Shiraz spice. Subtle yeast complexity and light vanillin oak are evident. Medium to full weight with soft tannins and a fine persisten
Soft in texture, with earthy black cherry and spice flavors on an open frame. Drink now through 2003.
Black plum and berry fruit aromas and flavors are ripe and fairly deep, especially considering this winersquo;s value price. A easy-drinking Shiraz with unexpected but pleasing tannins on the finish. A good by-the-glass pour, and a ldquo;I canrsquo;t believe this is $10rdquo; conversation starter at your next large gathering.

Smooth, round and generous with its savory blueberry and dark plum flavors, lingering enticing as the finish becomes more expressive. Drink now through 2010.

This Shiraz is deep crimson with shades of purple, and incorporates fruity strawberry and plum flavors with hints of black licorice and pepper. Medium-bodied and recommended to pair with red meat, game, or cheese.
