Wyndham Estate Chardonnay Bin 222 2008

Winemaker's Notes:

Colour: Brilliant pale yellow with vibrant green hues. Bouquet: Intensely fragrant with aromas of stonefruits, spicy smoky oak from partial barrel fermentation, and butterscotch, caramel which is derived from malolactic fermentation. Palate: Generously flavoured with a creamy texture. All components of the wine are cleverly meshed together so no one element dominates. Rich stone fruit and citrus with integrated oak flavour. Obvious presence with great length of flavour, richness, complexity and creaminess. Food Matches: This is a versatile wine that will complement a variety of chicken and seafood dishes.

George Wyndham became the father of Australian Shiraz when he planted the country’s first commercial shiraz vineyard in 1830. A wider range of distinctively full-flavoured wines are crafted today. Still, Shiraz remains the signature variety of Wyndham Estate - the birthplace of Australian Shiraz. Read less
