No la Crema, but an adequate if uninspired Pinot with lite body and cranberry finish.

Full-bodied and peppery for a pinot. Not what I was expecting. But extremely enjoyable.

CaliforniaWyatt Pinot Noir is a beautiful red wine gem from California, sourced from several top Pinot growing areas including the Russian River, Sonoma Coast, Carneros, San Luis Obispo, Monterey, and Santa Clara County. In a true Burgundian spirit, the wine was made with 25% whole clusters, and was aged for 10 months in about 10% new French oak. Robert Parker called this wine "a strikingly good Pinot Noir for its price." We agree!Wyatt Pinot Noir is dark garnet red in color. On the nose the wine has lovely aromas of wild strawberry, red plum, cherry and rhubarb, with a lovely savory earthy quality intermingled with the fruit. On the palate, the wine is medium weight, with just enough structure from the stems to balance the forward fruit. 3400 cases produced.Wyatt Pinot Noir pairs beautifully with grilled salmon, roast pork, fried chicken, pastas and cheese.

A wonderfully lush, fruit-driven Pinot Noir, full and round on the palate and finishing well. It drinks well on its own and is easy to match with meat, chicken, and even some fish dishes.

It is virtually impossible to find a high-quality Pinot Noir that actually tastes like Pinot Noir for under $25, but Polaner accessed a blend of fruit mostly from Carneros with the rest from the Sonoma Coast, Russian River, Sonoma County, Mendocino, and even the Central Coast. This wine is a real winner, tasting like a delicious Cotes de Beaune. Earthy, ripe currant, strawberry and spicy notes jump from the glass of this Pinot with a very fragrant, sensual style. Medium-bodied, with decent acidity, ripe tannin, and a nice, plush mouthfeel, this is a rather remarkable wine value for a Pinot Noir, which is always a fickle grape as well as expensive to produce. Drink it over the next 2-3 years, and buy it by the case.

The "custom-crush" movement on the West Coast means nothing but good things for you, the consumer - delicious, great quality wines at a fraction of the cost! And the Wyatt Pinot Noir is a perfect example of this - juicy, mouthwatering notes of sweet cherry and tangy pomegranate, bright acidity for food-friendliness and a touch of floral/spice on the finish.
