Wright Ken Pinot Noir Carter Vineyard 2006

Strong red. More blackberry than cherry. Not too sweet. Let it breath a bit. I find it works well at near room temperature. Excellent solid that holds it's own. One of my favorite wine. This Oregon pinot has really stuck with me and I stocked up on a few.

Usually a blueberry and blue plum component mingles with red and black cherry flavors in the Pinot noir from this vineyard. Ken has worked with this wine for over 25 years, and always creates a dark, big wine that takes a year or two to fully open and show its excellence.
Dark red. Deep, smoky nose shows more power than the Nysa and Canary Hills wines. Blackberry and cherry on the nose and palate, joined in the mouth by bitter chocolate and licorice nuances. Became sweeter and more red-fruity with air. Finishes chewy and persistent.
