This is our fifth Nelms Road Cabernet Sauvignon. I can't believe it! Younger vines are producing better grapes now and we are making even more rigorous selections from our finest vineyards, all of which contributes to the quality of this red wine. . This wine offers beautifully ripe fruit with concentrated flavors of black cherry, integrated tannins and aromas of mocha, vanilla and spice. The color is deep and dark, and the finish is long, sweet and generous. The continued program of declassification at Woodward Canyon in the vineyard and the winery has allowed them to create attractive and affordable red wines. The 2005 vintage was another very warm one for Washington State and this 2005 Merlot reflects that.
