Woodstock Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend Mclaren Vale 2013
The BVRC32 Semillon clone grown at Woodstock has once again delivered powerful tropical characters. Banana and passionfruit esters leap from the glass and continue to linger on the palate leaving a dry, crisp aftertaste. This combination of grapes and flavours will continue to min-gle and evolve with 4-6 years of cool cellaring giving far more dimensions and variables than if bottled as single varietals.
Here at Woodstock Estate, we endeavor to capture the essence of our regional home - McLaren Vale. We strive for absolute quality, which for us, begins in our well established vineyards, through every phase of winemaking, to the manner of which our wines are presented and served to you. The Woodstock portfolio includes a range of fresh aromatic whites, opulent yet finely structured reds and finally, an eclectic little selection of after dinner wines.
Nice floral hints
This was alright, had an off green tinge to it but could very well pass of as plain water. On the nose hints of minerals and sour citrus come to fore and continue on to the palate. Not much to shout about really, still rather young.
Food Pairings for Woodstock Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend Mclaren Vale
Intense passionfruit, gooseberry and guava leap out of the glass invitingly. Refreshing traces of green apples, starfruit and lifted citrus notes are evident. The Semillon provides complex tropical flavours which are round and full, balanced by lingering grapefruit acidity on the finish.
