Thirty years ago, Robert Mondavi set out to establish a wine culture in America by putting great California wine on every table. Invigorated by the success of Robert Mondavi Winery in the Napa Valley, in 1979 he established the Woodbridge Winery near his childhood home of Lodi, California.
For the price a good wine. 10 bucks for a 1.5 liter bottle.
Bright ruby-garnet in color, with cinnamon and stewed fruit aromas. Vegetal, cherry, and cedar flavors. Though under $10, I still can't recommend as anything more than good QPR.
Dark cherry on the nose, with a smooth taste that has some spice, nothing too distinct or descriptive. Has a nice finish with some oak and tannins that linger nicely. Not bad for the price.
Not bad cheap red
As value wines go, this was a great year for Woodbridge( Cabernet). I can't say the same about 06 and I haven't tried 08(just came out). Buy up whatever 07's you find. It's a great wine for everyday
Very affordable, drinkable and consistent table wine that seems to please with a casual daily use including most of or guests. It's frequently available for as little as $10 for a 1.5 liter bottle at Safeway/Vons.
One and a half glasses
