Thirty years ago, Robert Mondavi set out to establish a wine culture in America by putting great California wine on every table. Invigorated by the success of Robert Mondavi Winery in the Napa Valley, in 1979 he established the Woodbridge Winery near his childhood home of Lodi, California.

This is a full-bodied wine... goes great slightly chilled. Be careful because it will have you feeling good with one glass.
Smells and tastes like the library in an old mansion. Cedar, leather, black pepper, and spices. Has substance. A zin with body. Great change of pace wine from other zins and cabs.

A little thin in flavor, but honest and robust, with thick tannins framing blackberries, cherries, currants and herbs. A very good price for a Cab this easy to drink.
Starts off with a pronounced licorice quality, framed in smoky oak. The wine shows moderate body, with currant and spice fanning out on an herbal finish. Best from 2000 through 2006.
