Woodbridge Chardonnay 2010
Our Woodbridge Chardonnay is a perfect balance, with fresh citrus and apple notes interwoven with rich, ripe tropical fruit character. Hints of orange blossom and spice add interest to the enticing aromas; the creamy, lingering finish is laced with warm oak tones. The wines vibrant Chardonnay flavors come from grapes grown primarily in the Lodi American Viticultural Area (AVA) surrounding our winery.
Thirty years ago, Robert Mondavi set out to establish a wine culture in America by putting great California wine on every table. Invigorated by the success of Robert Mondavi Winery in the Napa Valley, in 1979 he established the Woodbridge Winery near his childhood home of Lodi, California.
Editorial Reviews for Woodbridge Chardonnay
Pineapple, vanilla crème and lemon curd great the nose with hints of lemongrass and sawdust adding detail. This is a bit rich on entry with some really metallic flavors early on the palate as the acids try to establish themselves. If it wasn’t for the metal this would be remarkably neutral. Tastes like tin foil. Some fruit reappears on the finish. 75pts
Light, crisp, German style but sweeter than most Rieslings. This one really fun with a variety of cheeses. The flavor keeps changing with each type of cheese. A variety of apples goes well also. Very refreshing.
A crisp, every day Chardonnay.
This wine has no maturity and a flat acidic taste. It stands a poor comparison to the 2009 vintage, the bouquet of which had a maturity that belied the age and price range of the label.

Crisp and simple. A light wine showing bright, citrusy fruit.
Good price for an everyday wine with real Chardonnay character. Shows ripe pineapple and pear flavors, enriched with sweet oak-like notes of smoke, caramel and butterscotch.
This shows real varietal character with spicy peaches-and-cream flavors and a nice vein of smoky oak, and a honeyed, crisp finish.
With aromas of baked apples and lemon curd, this crowd pleaser offers hints of baking spice flavor and a slightly sweet finish.
This off-dry wine fared surprisingly well in my value tastings. This wine possesses good body and varietal character, as well as ripe pear notes, clean fruit, good richness, medium body, and a soft, elegant, moderately long finish. This is an excellent value.
Rich and elegant, the Woodbridge Chardonnay displays delicious ripe pear, peach, and floral notes. Nuances of apple pie with autumn spices weave through the fruity aromas and flavors, ending in a soft and silky finish. The balance of lively fruit and creamy texture makes this wine a perfect choice to sip with friends over conversation or to pair with your favorite foods. Try it with smoked salmon appetizers, grilled chicken or fish, and creamy chowders. Be creative-if you like the food pairing, it works! - Winery
Helles Gelb, fruchtiges, dezent süsses Bouquet, Mirabellentöne. Saftiger Gaumen, frische Säure, feine Butternote im Extrakt mit leicht exotischem Fruchttouch.
