Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

winemaker's notes:The Wolf Blass red wines are distinctive for their ripe fruit flavours and careful oak maturation. The Yellow Label is a deep red colour with aromas of plum and berry. On the palate

Dark Ruby in color, almost purple with a deep scarlet rim. On the nose are brambly fruits, leather, blackberry, and a touch of smoke. The palate is filled with notes of sweet fruit, including dark cherry and casis, accented by a nice peppery note. ... Alex Lallos. Winemaker's Notes:

Rich red in color with deep purple hues, the 2005 Wolf Blass Presidents Selection Shiraz displays aromas of raspberries and plums supported by varietal white pepper and spice characters. The rich, round, soft palate shows concentrated berry fruit notes and great length of flavor. Maturation in seasoned and new American and French oak has enhanced the complexity and integration of the fine, velvety tannins. The fruit for this wine was sourced from vineyard sites across South Australia. After harvesting, the individual parcels of fruit were fermented separately in a range of fermenting vessels in order to showcase the unique characters of each parcel. After fermentation the wines were pressed off skins. Some parcels were then racked to seasoned and new American and French oak for 14 months maturation. Each of the parcels was reassessed prior to blending, and lightly filtered before bottling. Wine Enthusiast | Buying Guide: Best Buy | Joe Czerwinski | November 15, 2007 Full-bodied, with soft tannins and plenty of oak, this easy-to-drink Shiraz fits perfectly in the Wolf Blass idiom of accessibility. Caramel and dark plum flavors add hints of vanilla and toast, finishing long. A perfect steakhouse choice when you want to keep the wine tab reasonable.
