What to Expect

Cabenet Sauvignon: Originally of French origins, this versatile grape produces exceptional wines around the globe. It's usually medium to full bodied with a fine structure that supports black and red fruit flavors with typical notes of olive, chili and herbs that add complexity.

Winemakers Notes

Wolf Blass is one of Australia's most awarded premium wine makers, amassing more than 3,000 medals and trophies at national and international wine shows since 1966. The 2001 Wolf Blass Presidents Selection Cabernet Sauvignon is a deep crimson in colour with rich purple hues. Intense aromas of blackcurrant, vanillin oak characters and a hint of varietal eucalypt/ mint combine on the nose. These characters are evident as flavours on the warm, rich and full-bodied palate with excellent depth and balance. The long and lingering finish is complexed by fine-grained and well-integrated tannins offering wonderful texture.

A whole mouthful of deep rich fruit in every sip. Smoothly rich, blackberries, cherries, and even blueberries fight for a place on the palette, with woody tanins providing the structure to make this a truly spectacular wine.

Jeremy Oliver 92 points!
"A ripe minty aroma of small berry conserve and lightly smoky, fragrant vanilla oak reveals typically Langhorne Creek menthol and eucalypt-like regional complexity. Full to medium in weight, this uncomplicated but generous and lively cabernet offers a long and almost searing palate of intense cassis, raspberries and plums. Its oak is sweet and its tannins fine-grained and slightly drying. Drink 2006-2009."
