Winesmith "Second Fiddle" Pinot Noir Rouge 2005

Winemaker's Notes:

Dense with flavor and tannin, energetic with bright minerality, this wine has been very slow to come around in the bottle, but now is beginning to show a glimpse of its promise. I beg you to keep some in your cellar for 5 -10 more years to see it at its best.

Many California wineries try to "knock your socks off" with wine styles which eschew grace in favor of impact. Not us. After the first taste, you'll probably remain fully clothed. But prepare yourself to be sorry when it's all gone. Read less
