Wine Red Mouton Rothschild 1945

Winemaker's Notes:

Michael Broadbent of Christie's gives it 5 stars "A Churchill of a wine"*100 RP

Château Mouton-rothschild:
Since 1933, Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA, located at Pauillac in the Médoc, has been motivated by a constant ambition: to make the world's finest wines, each in its own category, whether the châteaux wines for which it is responsible – the renowned Château Mouton Rothschild, a First Growth, and its distinguished lieutenants, Château Clerc Milon and Château d'Armailhac – or branded wines, like the famous Mouton Cadet.

Ripe, rich and round, a superbly supple wine with a backbone of rigid acidity to keep it leaning urgently forward. Becomes smooth and polished as it swings into the finish, echoing spicy black cherry, dried cherry, anise and toast.--1945 horizontal. ... Wine Spectator. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 1945 Mouton-Rothschild 750ml
