Once again great conditions for ideal Pinot noir growth and development prevailed and Windward Vineyard delighted us by bringing forth a luscious and well balanced “Vendange”. At just under 2.8 tons/acre the chemistries following harvest were perfect and reflected great promise for a wine that would demonstrate attainment of Windward Vineyards unique profile. Seeped in deep mineralization: a wild strawberry bouquet, bright red ripe Bing Cherry flavors on its entrance, a sensuous velvety middle and a long “Peacock Tail” finish that explodes with its layered complexity. This one like previous Windward drinks beautifully now or will lie down for the next 20 years. 2100 Cases
