User Reviews for Windsor Vineyards Sangiovese Sonoma County Private Reserve

Winemaker's Notes:

Sangiovese comes from the phrase sanguis jovis (the blood of Jove). The dominant grape of Italy's Chianti can be traced back to Etruscan Times (predate Roman Times). Here at Windsor we call it Sange. This medium bodied red boasts spicy and earthy aromas with well-balanced toast and fruit flavors of caramel, cherry and molé - a spicy delight! This high acid wine is begging for pizza or pasta. Please pass the meatballs.
