Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

User Reviews for Windsor Sonoma Zinfandel Dry Creek Valley

Winemaker's Notes:

The goal with the Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel was to create a wine that showcases the endearing fruit characteristics of this unique varietal with finesse and power but without pushing the ripeness envelope. Aromatics of black raspberry and anise are followed by layers of lush black cherry and boysenberry. The tannins are firm without diminishing the rich fruit profile with a finish that is alive and precise from the balanced acidity.

Tasting Notes:

Deep, dark in color with spicy aromas of black raspberry, ripe cherry, cassis, toasted nuts, spices and chocolate. This 2008 vintage offers trademark flavor characteristics of Zins from the Dry Creek appellation: concentrated and jammy raspberry, black cherry and cassis, layered over a hint of toffee, espresso and dark chocolate.
